For example, if you submit a request for more information about volunteering or donating food, or for information generally about our mission and the services we offer, you will be required to provide certain information to us, such as your name and email address, so that we can respond to your request. In addition, if you want to sign up to volunteer, or donate food, through Site, you will need to become a registered user of the Site, and you will need to provide us with the information requested as part of the registration process. This information will include your first and last name, email address, mailing address, and phone number. We will also collect your email address if you sign up to receive our electronic newsletter.
We may automatically collect information about you when you use the Site. For example, if you access the Site through a computer, we will automatically collect information such as your browser type and version, computer and connection information, IP address and standard web log information. All donations made through the Site are processed by third party payment providers. All information collected by these third party providers for purposes of processing your payments is not available to us, unless you have otherwise provided this information to us through an offline donation or otherwise.
If you are a registered user of the Site, you may be able to post information on public areas of the Site, and that information may be collected and used by RLC, other users of the Site, and the public generally. We strongly recommend that you do not post any information through the Site that allows strangers to identify or locate you or that you otherwise do not want to share with the public.
We use the information we gather through the Site to contact and communicate with you, to respond to your communications, and to provide you with the information and services you have requested or signed up to receive. If you are a registered user or have signed up for our emailing mailing list, we may email you information that we believe may be of interest to you about our services. If you have provided us with your email address, we will also notify you of material changes to this Privacy Notice by sending an email at least ten (10) days before the effective date of the changes to the email address you most recently provided to us.
