New Jersey is one of the wealthiest states in the country, but nearly 14% of the population is food insecure, of which 15% are children. RLC New Jersey is looking for Food Donor Partners as well as volunteer Rescuers to help rescue food from places like cafes, restaurants, meal delivery stores, bakeries, and more. Whether you'd like to be a Food Rescuer, Food Donor, offer your connections, or contribute financially, please send a message to jerseycity@rescuingleftovercuisine.org

Who we work with
The working women of York Street Project's St. Mary's Residence are doing everything society asks but are still living far below the poverty level. It means having to choose between paying bills or having something to eat. York Street Project and RLC are a perfect match: their weekly delivery of rescued Panera donations subsidizes our residents’ food budget allowing them to stretch their dollar to use in other ways.
